Dog Studio Portraits in Holmesfield, derbyshire
Your dog with no distractions.
Studio portraits are my absolute favourite. Your dog is in a secure room, and they just have fun! I will aim to capture a range of photos from cute poses to fun treat catches to them with their favourite toy or teddy, and everything in between. It is where their personality can shine, and you have memories that really capture who your dog is.

FAQ

What is included in the dog studio session?
Each session includes a customised studio photoshoot (typically 30–45 minutes), professional image editing, and access to an online gallery for viewing and ordering photos & prints. To see the full price list, click here.
Does my dog need to be trained or well-behaved?
Not at all! We work with all temperaments. Whether your dog is shy, hyper, or somewhere in between, we use patience, positive reinforcement, and a calm environment to bring out their best.
When it comes to commands or tricks, it would be nice if your dog could do a 'sit' or 'down' but this isn't essential. We can use a small lead that means you can support your dog but is edited out of all final pictures so no one would ever know! The most important thing is that your dog has a fun and positive time and we can create your images to reflect that.
What if my dog is nervous or reactive?
There will be no other dogs at the photoshoot and your dog will be in a safe, private & enclosed space. We also make sure no other dogs are crowding the door when you're ready to leave.
We will spend the first part of the session desensitising your dog to the flash and the feel of the backdrop under their feet - most don't care about the flash after it has gone off a couple of times, but we will never take pictures until your dog is comfortable and happy with all their surroundings.
Can I be in the photos with my dog?
Absolutely! Most images tend to be dog-only, but I would actively encourage you to be in some of the photos with your dog for your own memories and keepsake.
What should I bring to the session?
Please ensure your dog is as clean as possible before the shoot; if they are very high energy, a walk a few hours before may help their focus, but this is not essential.
Please bring plenty of treats! Ideally, the ones your dog loves that are super small, as they will end up having a lot! If they aren't treat-focused, then their favourite toy or whatever you usually use to reward them.
What sort of photos should I expect?
Fun, cute, and joyful images! There will be 2 different backdrop colours you can choose - if you can't decide, Katie will be on hand to help based on your dog's personality and general aesthetic. We will usually start with the calm and cute poses before moving on to fun stuff like treat catches and lick shots. We will discuss the exact pictures you want prior to your session to ensure you love all your images.
Can you photograph multiple dogs in one session?
Yes! We can accommodate multiple dogs from the same household. Just let us know in advance so we can schedule enough time and space accordingly.
