FAQ

What is included in the session?

Each session is £195 and includes shooting time for as long as your dog requires (typically around 60-90 minutes), professional editing of all images, a private online gallery for viewing and ordering prints, all images as high-resolution digital files, and a 16x12 fine art print.

Where do the sessions take place?

We will discuss this when booking. I have a few go-to spots around my favourite place in the world, the Peak District. We can also go to your regular walking spot that your dog knows best.

Do you photograph multiple dogs in one session?

Yes, of course! Just let me know about each dog when booking.

How should I prepare my dog for the session?

This can totally depend on your dog and the weather! If it is winter and your dog is going to dive into every muddy puddle, then we can embrace that. If you would prefer more clean-looking portraits, then grooming your dog beforehand can definitely help.

Can I be included/not included in the photos?

Absolutely! We will discuss this before your portrait session, and you can change your mind at any point, too. Although we can do the whole session dog-only, I would actively encourage you to be in some of the photos as a keepsake for your own memories.

What if my horse doesn't behave during the session?

Horses will be horses, and that is why we love them! Every session is horse-led, and we go at the pace that is best for your horse with plenty of breaks as and when required. Each set of photos is completed as efficiently as possible to avoid boredom for your horse.

What if it rains?!

We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and reschedule at no extra charge if needed due to rain, high winds, or other unsuitable conditions. However, if you want to go ahead in any bad weather to get dramatic photos, then I am totally up for that too!

What sort of photos should I expect?

We will work to get the photos you want! Usually, I will aim for a mixture of posed (sit, down, stand) type photos, plus running /playing/your dog having fun photos too. See the photos below as an example of the style to expect.

Does my dog need to be trained or well-behaved?

Not at all! We work with all temperaments. Whether your dog is shy, hyper, or somewhere in between, we use patience, positive reinforcement, and a calm environment to bring out their best.

When it comes to commands or tricks, it would be nice if your dog could do a 'sit' or 'down' but this isn't essential. We can use a small lead that means you can support your dog but is edited out of all final pictures so no one would ever know! The most important thing is that your dog has a fun and positive time and we can create your images to reflect that.
