FAQ

What is included in the session?
Each session is £195 and includes shooting time for as long as your horse requires (typically around 1 hour), professional editing of all images, a private online gallery for viewing and ordering of prints, all images as high-resolution digitals, and a 16x12 fine art print.
Where do the sessions take place?
Unless choosing a photoshoot at a specific destination, all sessions will take place at your horse’s home.
Do you photograph multiple horses in one session?
Yes, any horses owned by the same owner can be included in the session at no extra charge. The same goes for including donkeys, dogs, or other pets in the pictures.
How should I prepare my horse for the session?
Please make sure your horse is clean. A good guide is to prepare them in the same way you would for a show. Plaiting is optional and a matter of personal preference. If you want some images with your horse plaited and some without, then we can remove the plaits midway through the session for the best variation.
Can I be included/not included in the photos?
Absolutely! We will discuss this before your portrait session, and you can change your mind at any point, too. Although we can do the whole session horse-only, I would actively encourage you to be in some of the photos as a keepsake for your own memories.
What if my horse doesn't behave during the session?
Horses will be horses, and that is why we love them! Every session is horse-led, and we go at the pace that is best for your horse with plenty of breaks as and when required. Each set of photos is completed as efficiently as possible to avoid boredom for your horse.
What should I wear?
Wear clothing that complements your horse and the environment. Neutral, earthy tones often photograph best. Avoid loud patterns or logos unless they’re part of your brand or stable gear. Most importantly, wear clothes that you feel comfortable and confident in.
If you want photographs wearing a wedding dress, a prom dress, or similar, then please mention this when booking your portrait session, so we can plan your shoot to get the exact images you want.
What if it rains?!
We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and reschedule at no extra charge if needed due to rain, high winds, or other unsuitable conditions.
What sort of photos should I expect?
We will work to get the photos you want! This can be natural background outdoor images, black background photos, or a mix of both. See the photos below as an example of the style of photos to expect.
How do you achieve black background photos?
Black backgrounds are created in barn doorways. If a barn doorway is not available, then a stable doorway can often suffice.
What if my yard is more functional than aesthetic?
As long as you have a field, we can create gorgeous photos! Please do not worry about your yard looking straight out of a magazine.

"Katie did an amazing job photographing my yard full of Warmbloods. She was so patient and did a wonderful job of getting them in the right light and looking gorgeous. Katie has a great eye and we had such a fun day!"
